Italy Serie A News

The First week of the Italian Serie A prove to be not a good day for the big team. Last year Champions Inter Milan with their new coach Jose Mourinho can only play draw 1-1 against Sampdoria, while runner up A.S. Roma was also draw 1-1 against napoli, other duel between big team also ended in 1-1 draw between Juventus against Fiorentina. The first week even more disappointed for Milan. Signing a lo of big name such as Ronaldinho, Flamini, and Senderos recently, the Rossoneri loose 1-2 against a promote team Bologna in San Siro.

In Luigi Ferraris Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke the deadlock on 33 minutes, chesting down Mancini's ball over the defence and firing past Mirante after a buildup involving Sulley Muntari.Gennaro Delvecchio brought the teams level and ensured his side a share of the points 23 minutes after the restart, pouncing on a loose ball and converting from close range after Maicon beat Franceschini to Stankevicius' cross. These result is not a good start for Jose mourinho career in Italy, although he wins the Italian Super Cup a weeks ago.

In San Siro Bologna's opening goal by Di Vaio, Milan always seemed capable to rebalance, but still in the first 30 minutes Milan seemed incapable of moving the ball around and be dangerous with or without the ball. It seemed like they were nervous because of it being the opening match, an ideal justification for a match which started badly, but then the goal from Ambrosini on Dinho's perfect assist made it seem things would change. In the second half Ronaldinho continued to display his magic throughout the pitch with moves that were always useful to the team. Inzaghi, Shevchenko, and Pato all tried to convert the chances and it could be felt that everything would turn out well.Unfortunately, after created numerous chances, Bologna midfielder Valiani aim the ball for the top corner of the net, and it was Bologna who had a party in San Siro .

In Artemio Franchi Juventus were unlucky with one man more than Firoentina since 83th minute the game looked over with a 1-0 lead after Nedved scores in the first half but Gilardino's equalizer, coming right at the end, make the score 1-1 which was disappointed the team and the coach. The Juve coach Ranieri said in the Juve Official Site “We accept the draw but it's disappointing for us. We'd controlled the game and had chances to finish it off with Amauri and Del Piero. Shame about that goal we conceded, an experienced team such as ours can't concede a goal like that, even if Gilardino did well with one of his typical moves. At the end we tried to win it instead of slowing the pace down. In any case I'm pleased with how the lads played and for how they interpreted the game play. I liked the new signings, they showed they've settled in immediately, that's another reason I'm happy about the work we've done so far”. These results is same as last year result with Adrian Mutu level the score from penalty spot.
